Central African consumption of sorghum is expected to remain stable at 26 thousand metric tons in the next five years. This is according to data from 2021, in which Central African held the 34th spot, while North Korea led the ranking with 26 thousand metric tons. India, China and Ethiopia took second, third and fourth place, respectively. Meanwhile, Central African production of sorghum is forecasted to decrease 2.3% year-on-year to 24,580 metric tons by 2026. This is a 0.6% decrease since 1966. Central African held 61st place in the 2021 ranking, with Gambia leading the group with 28,130 metric tons. Nigeria, Ethiopia and Mexico followed in second, third and fourth place, respectively.
