Sorghum production is forecast to decline by an average of 1.3% each year until 2026, falling to 5,130 metric tons. This follows a similar trend since 1966, when overall production decreased 1.1% year-on-year. In 2021, Cuba overtook the country to become the 76th biggest producer, with 5,550 metric tons. Nigeria, Ethiopia and Mexico were 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the rankings, respectively.
