Consumption of sorghum in Mauritania is projected to reach around 74,000 metric tons by 2026, a 1.6% increase from 67,000 metric tons in 2021. Since 1966, Mauritanian supply has decreased by 2.7% each year. In 2021, Mauritania came in 45th in the ranking, with Ivory Coast surpassing at 69,770 metric tons. Nigeria, Ethiopia and Mexico were placed second, third and fourth respectively.
