Yemen's sorghum consumption is expected to drop 4.5% a year on average from 2021 to 2026. Last year, Yemeni demand for the grain totaled 139,480 metric tons, making it the 14th largest consumer in the world. The US led the way with 182,000 metric tons, followed by India, China and Ethiopia. Yemen's production of sorghum is anticipated to decline 6.6% annually from 2021 to 2026. Since 1966, the country's output of the grain has risen 1.8% a year on average. Last year, the country produced 119,760 metric tons.
