Palestinian pulses production is projected to remain steady at approximately 10,000 metric tons by 2028, showing no change from its current level in 2023. This forecast indicates a stagnation in growth for the sector over the next five years. Since 1999, the supply of pulses in Palestine has seen a modest annual growth rate of 0.5%. Despite this gradual increase, the country ranked 119th in global pulses production in 2023. This year, East Timor surpassed Palestine with an identical production volume of around 10,000 metric tons. In the global context, Myanmar, Canada, and China secured the second, third, and fourth positions respectively in pulses production rankings for 2023.
