According to the latest figures, production is expected to reach 233,790 metric tons, up from 228,760 metric tons in 2021. This growth is an average of 0.5% year on year since 1966, with a total increase of 5.3%. Egypt currently holds the top spot, followed by Myanmar, Canada and China.
