Iraqi pulse production has been on a downward slide, dropping 51.3% in 2021 to 1.6 million metric tons. This is 28.9% lower than the amount produced since 1966. The country came in 151st place in the global ranking of pulse production, with Montenegro in the lead at 1.6 million metric tons. Myanmar, Canada and China followed in 2nd, 3rd and 4th places, respectively.
