In 2023, Austria ranked 74th in global consumption, with Croatia surpassing it by reaching 15,000 metric tons. Leading the rankings were India, Japan, and Russia, occupying the second, third, and fourth positions respectively. On the export front, Austrian alcoholic drink exports are set to grow, reaching nearly $4 billion by 2028, up from around $3.5 billion in 2023. This represents a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2%. Since 1999, Austria's supply of alcoholic beverages has seen a consistent year-on-year growth of 2.2%.
