Tea production in Tanzania is set to reach 63,000 metric tons by 2026, an increase of 2.2% year-on-year. Supply has remained stable since 2017. Consumption of tea in Tanzania is projected to reach 10,600 metric tons by 2026, a rise of 2.9% year-on-year. Demand has grown by 4% annually since 2017. The country ranked 45th in 2021, behind Cameroon which had 9,000 metric tons. India, Brazil and Argentina occupied the second, third and fourth positions respectively.
