In 2021, Indonesia was ranked 13th, falling behind Japan's 101,000 metric tons. India, Brazil, and Argentina were ranked second, third, and fourth, respectively. Indonesian tea production is forecast to reach 132,400 metric tons by 2026, down from 137,000 metric tons in 2021. Since 2017, Indonesia's tea supply has decreased by 1% annually on average.
