The number of ATMs in Belgium is set to reach around 6,400 by 2026, a fall of almost 5% compared to 2021. This is the fifth consecutive year of decline since 2012, when the figure stood at 8,500. Belgium is now in 19th place, overtaken by Argentina (8,500 ATMs). India, Russia and Brazil occupy the top three places in the rankings. The number of ATM transactions in Belgium is expected to reach 254 million in 2026, a fall of 1.4% year on year. This follows a downward trend since 2012, when the figure was 280 million. Belgium is now in 15th place, overtaken by Canada (280 million). Indonesia, Brazil and Russia are the top three countries in the rankings.
