Chilean road traffic volume is projected to soar to approximately 73 billion vehicle-kilometers by 2028, up from around 55 billion vehicle-kilometers in 2023. This represents an average annual growth rate of 4.6%. In 2023, Chile ranked fifth in road traffic volume. For comparison, the Netherlands, which took the fourth spot, also recorded about 55 billion vehicle-kilometers. Topping the list, Japan and the United Kingdom secured the second and third positions, respectively, with higher traffic volumes.
