Lao Fabric Imports are set to reach a value of $15 million by 2026, according to the latest estimates. This figure is a 3.4% increase from the $12.6 million reached in 2021. Since 2015, demand for Lao fabric has grown at a rate of 7.7% year-on-year. Costa Rica overtook Lao in 2021, with fabric imports totalling $12.6 million. Indonesia, China and the United States were the next three countries in the ranking, with imports of $55.6 million, $12 million and $0.6 million respectively. In 2016, Lao fabric exports totalled $56 million, up from $12 million in 2015.
