In 2023, the country ranked 18th globally in terms of energy supply, with Ecuador slightly ahead, also at 13.4 million tonnes of oil equivalent. Leading the rankings, France, Saudi Arabia, and the United Kingdom secured the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th spots, respectively.
