China's cosmetics exports are set to hit $7.3 billion by 2026, according to a report. This is up from $6.1 billion in 2021 and represents a 3% year-on-year growth average rate since 1997. In 2021, Japan topped the export rankings at $6.1 billion, with the United States, Germany and Ireland in second, third and fourth place respectively. Meanwhile, Chinese cosmetics imports are set to reach $17.1 billion by 2026 from $13.4 billion in 2021, with a 4% year-on-year growth rate on average since 1997. The US topped the import rankings in 2021 at $13.4 billion, with China, Germany and the UK in second, third and fourth place respectively.
