Guyanese hair care exports decreased dramatically in 2021, dropping 89.6% compared to 2020 to reach just $79. This marks a 47.7% decrease since 2002, with Guyanese falling to 119th in the global rankings, behind Burundi at $79. The United States, Italy and France ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Guyanese hair care imports are expected to grow 2.1% year on year by 2026 to reach $3,895,900. While this marks a 3.9% decrease since 1997, Guyanese imports took 113th place in 2021, just behind Rwanda at $3,413,900. The United Kingdom, Germany and China ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
