Exports of hair care products from Ecuador are projected to reach $423 million by 2026, a 4.5% decrease from 2021’s figure of $554 million. Since 1997, Ecuadorian supply has increased 4.3% year-on-year. In 2021, the country was 85th in the hair care export ranking, with Nicaragua above them at $554 million. The United States, Italy and France took the top three spots in the ranking respectively. Meanwhile, imports of hair care products in Ecuador are forecast to reach $73.6 million in 2026, a 1.1% rise from 2021’s figure of $68.9 million. Since 1996, demand has grown 3% year-on-year. In 2021, the country was 50th in the hair care import ranking, with Indonesia at $68.9 million. The United Kingdom, Germany and China respectively took the top three spots in the ranking.
