Egyptian Anthracite exports dropped 21.4% in 2021, with 59.7 million kilograms shipped out, compared to the 75.9 million kilograms exported in 2020. This marks a 25.6% decrease since 2001. Imports, however, have risen dramatically over the years. In 2021, Egypt imported 483.6 million kilograms of Anthracite – an increase of 160.2% from the 185.8 million kilograms imported in 2016. Since 2000, demand for Anthracite has grown 11.2% on average each year.
