Mauritius is set to become one of the world's top importers of anthracite by 2026. Demand for the commodity has grown 78% since 1998 and is expected to reach around 144,000 kilograms this year. Already in 2021, Mauritius is ranked 82nd among the world's top importers, having imported 108,710 kilograms. Costa Rica is the current leader, followed by South Korea, Japan and Russia.
