Since 1994, the country's supply of anthracite has dropped by 33.2% each year. Meanwhile, imports of anthracite are forecast to grow by 1.1% annually, from 1.62 billion kilograms in 2021 to 1.73 billion kilograms in 2026. Over the past 27 years, Brazilian demand for the mineral has increased by 8.7% annually. India led the world in anthracite import in 2021, with 1.62 billion kilograms. South Korea, Japan, and Russia were ranked 2nd, 3rd, and 4th respectively.
