Colombian anthracite imports are set to reach almost 900,000 kilograms by 2026, according to a new report. It would be a 4.4% year-on-year increase from the 674,280 kilograms imported in 2021. Since 1997, imports into Colombia have jumped 14.5% year-on-year, taking it from 74th in the ranking to 6th. South Korea, Japan and Russia respectively ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th in this ranking. Colombian anthracite exports have also seen a substantial jump. In 2018, the country exported 366,350 kilograms, up 18.9% from 2017. However, since 1996, exports have decreased by 16.3% year-on-year. It had held 17th place in the ranking, before Bangladesh overtook it. South Korea, Japan and Russia placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in this ranking.
