Latvian Anthracite Trade went up to 176,810 Kilograms in 2018 from 367,260 Kilograms in 2017, down by 51.7% year on year. Latvia's anthracite exports are set to reach 91,000 kilograms by 2026, a decrease of 4.2% year-on-year on average from their 2021 level of 113,200 kilograms. This is a significant increase from 2002, when exports were up 513.7% year-on-year. Latvian anthracite imports fell to 64,000 kilograms in 2018, a decrease of 74.8% compared to 2017 when 254,060 kilograms were imported. Since 1999, imports have decreased by 56.1%. The country ranked 87th in 2018, with Madagascar taking the top spot with 63,910 kilograms. South Korea, Japan and Russia came in second, third and fourth respectively. Trade in Latvian anthracite decreased to 177,000 kilograms in 2018, down 51.7% from 2017's figure of 367,260 kilograms.
