In 2018, Lithuanian anthracite exports surged 253.9% to 21,540 kilograms, up from 6,090 kilograms in the prior year. Since 2003, the country’s supply has dropped 36.1% year-on-year. Meanwhile, Lithuanian anthracite imports fell 17.3% to 28,420 kilograms in 2018, down from 34,380 kilograms in 2017. Demand for the resource has declined 61.7% since 1999. Lithuania ranked 92nd, while Brunei was ahead at 28,420 kilograms. South Korea, Japan and Russia occupied the second, third and fourth spots, respectively.
