Iran's import of anthracite is set to reach 21 million kilograms by 2026. This is a 3.6% year-on-year growth from 17 million kilograms in 2021. Iran has seen a decline in demand for anthracite since 2002, dropping 11.1% annually. The country came in 47th place in 2021, with Ecuador overtaking it by importing 17 million kilograms. South Korea, Japan and Russia took the 2nd, 3rd and 4th places respectively. In 2017, Iran's export of anthracite was 865,000 kilograms, down 49.2% from 1.7 million kilograms in 2016. Since 2010, the supply of anthracite has increased by 74.5% year-on-year.
