Uganda is forecasted to have 10.6 million cases of malaria by 2026. This is an increase of 3% annually since 2007. In 2021, the country was ranked 6th in terms of malaria prevalence, with 8.8 million cases. Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Mozambique respectively came in second, third and fourth in the ranking. In 2016, the treatment coverage of malaria in Uganda was close to 71.5%, down from 76.9% in 2015.
