Child mortality in North Korea is set to decline by 8.6% per year between 2021 and 2026, with the number of deaths falling from 5,330 to 3,150. Since 1995, the country has seen a decrease of 5.3% per year. North Korea ranked 70th in 2021, with the Dominican Republic being ahead of them with 5,330 deaths. India, Pakistan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo followed as numbers 2, 3 and 4 in the ranking, respectively. Immunisation coverage of children aged 12-23 months in North Korea rose to 99% in 2021, up one point from 2020's figure of 98%. Since 1985, the figure has risen 0.6 points per year. In the 2021 ranking, it placed 6th, with Nicaragua coming first with 99%. Greece, Mongolia and Latvia were at numbers 2, 3 and 4, respectively.
