Child mortality in Haiti is set to decline by 3.7% each year on average by 2026, according to predictions. In 2021, the death rate for children is estimated to be 15,520, down from 12,390 in 2026. This trend has been in decline since 1966, when the death rate was 3.4% lower than the previous year. Immunisation coverage among children aged 12-23 months is also expected to decline, but at a slower rate of 0.8 points each year on average between 2021 and 2026. The rate of immunisation coverage is currently estimated to be 54%, but is predicted to drop to 51% by 2026. This trend has been decreasing since 1985, when the rate was 3.3 points lower than the previous year.
