Child mortality in Lithuania is projected to drop by 19.7% between 2021 and 2026, with the number of deaths falling from 81 to 24. This year-on-year decline has been ongoing since 1977 and is down 11.1% since then. Lithuania was ranked 161 in 2021, with Finland in first place with 81 deaths. India, Pakistan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo respectively came in second, third and fourth place in the ranking. Immunisation coverage among children aged 12-23 months in Lithuania is set to remain stable at 92% between 2021 and 2026. This figure has declined by 0.4 percentage points year-on-year since 1997. The country was ranked 99 in 2021, with Burundi in first place with 92%. Greece, Mongolia and Latvia respectively came in second, third and fourth place in the ranking.
