Lao child mortality is set to fall by 5.5% year-on-year from 2021 to 2026. In 2021, the country ranked 64th, with 6,820 deaths. This was overtaken by the Republic of the Congo. India, Pakistan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo took the top three spots. Lao child immunisation coverage showed no change from 2021 to 2026, remaining at 68% of children aged 12-23 months. In 2021, the country ranked 171st, overtaken by Ethiopia. Greece, Mongolia and Latvia occupied the top three positions.
