Child mortality in Bahrain is set to decline by 1.3% year on year on average, from 147 deaths in 2021 to 137 by 2026, according to the latest figures. The country has seen a 1.7% decline in child mortality since 1966, and ranked 152nd in 2021, with Kiribati ahead at 147 deaths. India, Pakistan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo followed, taking the second, third and fourth spots respectively. Immunisation coverage for children aged 12-23 months in Bahrain, meanwhile, is expected to remain stable at 99% over the same period. Since 1985, the market has been steady, with Bahrain ranking sixth in 2021, just behind Seychelles, who had 99% coverage. Greece, Mongolia and Latvia took the next three spots.
