Container traffic in Canada is set to reach 7.4 million Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) by 2026, according to a recent study. This figure is an increase of 1.6% year-on-year from the 6.6 million TEUs recorded in 2021, representing a CAGR of 2.8% since 2005. Mexico overtook Canada in 2021, recording 6.6 million TEUs. The United States, Singapore and South Korea followed with the second, third and fourth highest TEU figures respectively.
