In 2023, China maintained its top position with an impressive 281 million TEUs. Following China, Slovenia, the United States, and Singapore respectively took the second, third, and fourth positions in the global ranking. Morocco experienced a significant surge, growing by 16.5% year on year. In stark contrast, Venezuela saw a dramatic decline, with container traffic dropping by 53.5% annually since 2005.
