Ugandan goat production is projected to reach nearly 1.9 million heads by 2026. This is a 1.8% annual increase since 2021, when the country had 1.75 million heads. Since 1966, the growth of Ugandan supply has averaged 2.5% year-on-year. In 2021, Uganda was ranked 14th in the world for goat production. Niger was ahead with 1.75 million heads, followed by China, Nigeria and Pakistan.
