Kazakhstan’s goat production is set to grow slightly over the next five years. In 2021, the country's goat head count was 226,840, making it number 59 in the global rankings. This is a slight decrease from 1997, when the country saw a 0.3% year-on-year decline. Bolivia was the highest ranked at 226,840 heads, followed by China, Nigeria and Pakistan in second, third and fourth place respectively. By 2026, Kazakhstan is expected to produce around 229,000 heads, an increase of 0.2% year-on-year.
