Somalian goat production is set to decline slightly over the next five years, falling by 0.4% per year on average. In 2021, the country ranked 21st in the world, with 1.1 million heads of goats, compared to Brazil at the top with 1.1 million. China, Nigeria, and Pakistan were the next three highest producers, respectively. This decrease of 0.4% per year is in line with the trend since 1966, when Somalian goat production was also down by 0.3% each year.
