Goat production in Burkina Faso is on the rise. By 2026, the country is expected to reach 1.8 million heads of goats, a 1.5% year-on-year average rate increase from the 1.7 million heads in 2021. Since 1966, the country's supply has been growing steadily at a rate of 2.5% annually. Last year, Burkina Faso was ranked 15th, with Uganda ahead of them at 1.7 million heads. China, Nigeria and Pakistan, ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
