The nation's goat production is projected to reach 950,000 heads by 2026, growing at an average rate of 2.2% year-on-year. This follows a trend of steady growth since 1966, with a 4.3% year-on-year increase. In 2021, Ghana was ranked 25th among global goat producers with 830,570 heads. Yemen surpassed the nation, taking the 24th spot. China, Nigeria, and Pakistan, meanwhile, held the top three spots respectively.
