Qatari goat production is expected to reach more than 55,000 heads by 2026, according to a recent report. This marks an average increase of 2.9% each year since 2021, when the number of goats was 46,860. Since 1966, the rate of growth in Qatar has been 5.2% per year on average. By 2021, Qatar had reached number 92 in the world rankings on goat production, overtaken by Thailand. China, Nigeria and Pakistan were the top three countries in the world rankings, respectively.
