Egypt's import and export of artwork saw a sharp decline in 2018. Imports plummeted 62.1% to $157,000, compared to $416,000 the previous year. Exports also fell 23.1%, to $48,000, compared to $63,000 in 2017. Since 1999, Egypt's art imports and exports have seen a decrease of 63.9% and 42.7%, respectively.
