Imports of Chinese works of art are expected to reach $165 million by 2026, down 0.4% annually from 2021's $169 million. Demand has grown at an average of 4.3% a year since 1997. In 2021, China ranked 15th in the world for imports, with India overtaking it at $169 million. The United Kingdom, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates ranked second, third and fourth respectively. Exports of Chinese works of art are set to fall by 8% a year to reach $96 million by 2026, down from 2021's $155 million. Supply has decreased at an average of 6.4% a year since 1997. In 2021, China was 14th in the world for exports, with Austria overtaking it at $155 million. The United Kingdom, Switzerland and France ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
