Norway's work of art exports are forecast to drop to around $36 million by 2026, down 2.2% annually from $41 million in 2021. Over the past 23 years, exports have decreased 11.3% on average each year. In 2021, Norway came in at number 24, behind Saudi Arabia's $41 million. The United Kingdom, Switzerland and France were the next biggest exporters, coming in at numbers 2, 3 and 4 respectively. Meanwhile, imports of Norwegian art are set to increase 1.4% annually to $87 million by 2026. Since 1998, demand has decreased by 1% per year. Luxembourg was the biggest importer in 2021, with $80 million, followed by the UK, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates at numbers 2, 3 and 4.
