Bolivian polystyrene imports are projected to reach 16.1 million kilograms by 2026, a 2.8% year-on-year growth since 2021. This follows an average annual increase of 3.1% since 1997. Meanwhile, Bolivian polystyrene exports grew by 22% in 2018 to just under 30 kilograms, compared to 24.6 kilograms in 2017. This is a sharp decline of 50.5% since 2008. In 2018, Bolivia ranked 72nd in the world for polystyrene exports, behind Costa Rica with 30 kilograms. China, the Netherlands, and France were the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th largest exporters respectively.
