In 2017, the country's exports of the material reached just over 30,000 kilograms, a major decrease compared to the 58,000 kilograms exported in 2016. Looking ahead to 2026, Dominican polystyrene demand is expected to total around 3.1 million kilograms, representing a 2.3% decrease from the 3.5 million kilograms imported in 2021.
