Russia is predicted to be the 13th largest exporter of polystyrene by 2026. Last year, the country exported 43 million kilograms of the material. It’s a 3.5% annual growth rate from 2021-2026. Since 2001, exports have increased 7.3% year-on-year. Poland overtook Russia for the number one spot, with China, the Netherlands, and France completing the top four. Meanwhile, imports of polystyrene to Russia in 2021 were close to 6.7 million kilograms, down 24.2% compared to 2020. Since 2001, imports have fallen 22.5% year-on-year.
