Since 1999, demand for the material has grown by an average of 1.2% each year. Meanwhile, export of polystyrene from Macedonia is set to drop from 12,260 kilograms in 2021 to 8,310 by 2026. This is a decrease of 5.7% year on year. Since 2001, supply of the material has increased by 62% annually. In 2021, Macedonia was ranked 59th, behind Bosnia and Herzegovina. China, the Netherlands and France were the top three importing countries.
