Meanwhile, imports of polystyrene into Iran fell by 81.4% in 2017, to 7.7 million kilograms, from 41.3 million kilograms in 2016. This was a 44.6% decrease since 2002. In 2017, Iran was the 18th largest importer, with Saudi Arabia at the top with 41.3 million kilograms. Japan, the Netherlands and Germany came in second, third and fourth.
