Israeli polystyrene imports are predicted to reach 16 million kilograms by 2026, growing at an annual rate of 1.6%. This increase is especially notable given that imports have been in decline since 2001, dropping by 0.1% each year on average. Since 2007, Israeli imports have seen a particularly sharp decline of 41.2% year on year. In 2018, Israel ranked 65th in terms of polystyrene imports, with New Zealand overtaking with 9.3 million kilograms. China, the Netherlands and France ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
