Brazil's imports of propylene rose 19% in 2018, from 287,550 to 342,260 kilograms. This is the highest level since 1995, when the demand rose 11.2% year on year. Israel overtook Brazil to become the biggest importer in 2018, with 342,260 kilograms. Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands followed in second, third and fourth place respectively. Brazil's exports of propylene, however, plummeted 88.3% in 2018, from 65,360,000 to 7,657,000 kilograms. Since 1994, the country's supply has fallen 47% year on year. The Czech Republic overtook Brazil to become the biggest exporter in 2018, with 7,657,000 kilograms. Japan, the Netherlands and the United States followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
