German exports of propylene are expected to reach 280 million kilograms by 2026, increasing by 0.6% annually on average since 1996. In 2021, Saudi Arabia was the leader in exports with 262 million kilograms, followed by Japan, the Netherlands and the United States. Germany's import of propylene also grew in 2018, reaching 854 million kilograms, an increase of 4.8% year-on-year. China was the biggest importer, followed by Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.
