China's propylene imports are set to reach 4.2 billion kilograms by 2026, according to a new report. This represents an average yearly growth rate of 2.7% since 2021, when imports reached 3.5 billion kilograms. From 1997 onwards, the growth rate has been 3.7% per year. Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands were the second, third and fourth largest importers respectively. Meanwhile, China's propylene exports are estimated to reach 4.1 million kilograms by 2026. This represents an average yearly growth rate of 4.1% since 2021, when exports reached 3.2 million kilograms. Since 1997, Chinese supply has grown by 130.9%. Malaysia was the largest exporter of propylene in 2021, followed by Japan, the Netherlands and the US.
